Little Waterlily, Big Pond: Band Geek

Many of you are aware that I've had a thing for headbands lately. Back in April I decided I loved headbands and needed to wear them all the time. There was one small problem... I didn't own any headbands. Then I met Patience and her company "Band" Geek. As a band geek myself (1st Clarinet thank you very much!.. I'm so cool) how could I resist? This weekend I sat down to have coffee with Patience and chat for the blog. An hour later we'd discussed very sad reality television, So You Think You Can Dance Canada (not the same as sad reality tv... shut up!), our Fall plans, shoes we wanted from The Urban Shoe Myth and I bought two more headbands. I'm so bad at interviewing people!!

We did get around to discussing a trend that is currently HUGE in accessories and that we both figure is around for awhile, feathers. Patience had a touch of feathers in the collection she put out back in February creating the piece below. It sold quickly but she created several more, including one for me in April!

Patience has now expanded her feather pieces to include headbands, hair clips, earrings and now hair extensions.

Most of her pre-made pieces are on sale at Intuitions Spa in Rothesay (just happens to be where I get my hair done!) but she is constantly working on custom pieces for people.

So I have exciting news! Patience is offering my readers the chance to win this pair of beautiful, natural coloured feather earrings. These are very pretty and great for those of us not quite ready to have feather earrings that reach past our shoulders!
