Summer Reading

It's funny that I haven't written about books before now since I discovered books long before I got interested in clothes (not that I was one of those toddlers who was constantly taking their clothes off and running around naked... that was Husband).  During the regular run of the year I find it hard to do a great deal of reading.  When I get a hold of a really good book I just can't put it down and so wind up staying up til silly o'clock on work nights.  I did that with these this year:

So unless it's during the Christmas shut down at the university I almost avoid finding really good books during the Winter months. But when summer arrives you just need a stack of good books! Indigo's Buy3 get 1 Free can lead to dangerous expenditure as I found out last week.  Here's some of what I'll be reading this summer.

Of course for the last couple of weeks I revisited friends in preparation for The End.  Last night I headed to the cinema planning on taking a large number of tissues. And then I forgot those.  That was not so smart.  In a pinch Ravenclaw scarf can fill on for eye wiping.  Yes, Ravenclaw... not everyone can be a Gryffindor.  Bravery not my thing.  I accept that.
Yes, I'm aware they're out of order. Oops.

PS. Don't forget that today is the last day to enter the A Day at the Beach giveaway!!

I don't know that I can bring myself to dive into George R.R. Martin. I've heard that he has introduced too many characters and plot threads to wrap the series in any meaningful fashion.
