Princess Party

There is a heck of a lot more happening in Saint John, New Brunswick these days and much of it is thanks to Fusion, an organization for young professionals looking to make Saint John an engaged and engaging place to live.  This Friday was the third annual Princess Street Block Party held to celebrate the beautiful refurbishments that have happened in that area which have given us some of the best places to eat and drink in Saint John.  In spite of wet weather earlier in the week and the approach of Hurricane Irene it was gorgeous in Uptown Saint John at 5:30 on Friday evening.

Crowd Starts to Gather

The kids certainly enjoyed the music the whole time.

It did look a little bit like the crowd had all kind of rolled to the bottom of the hill.

Drinks were being served at the top and bottom of the hill (bottom of the hill was busier!).  The folks from Happiness and Decimal 81 were both circulating with food.  I believe O'Leary's had some free appetizers but I didn't make it in to check them out.  People of all ages were having an excellent time.  I certainly don't want to miss out on next year's Princess St Block Party!

Fusion has other events throughout the year, particularly their Award Winning Parties with a Purpose.
