Mother/Daughter Night

Friday evening Mum and I went to a Ladies Night Out event thrown by the Kennebecasis Lions Club.  The annual event is always held just before Mother's Day.  It was a fun local event for two local charities: Sophia Recovery Centre and PASAGE Saint John.

A unique happy hour idea, the Lions partner with the local Sobey's (grocery store).  Sobey's volunteers come around serving some of their new products and handing out air miles vouchers!

The event included a steak or lobster dinner and free wine.  Door prizes included the lovely little rose bushes on the tables, tickets to events, an electric fireplace and the grand prize of a diamond ring.

Since we didn't get lobster bibs these ladies from the next table over were happy to pose.
It was a very fun evening in support of two charities working to deal with addiction in our community.  We heard briefly from the executive directors of the organisation before the live music took over.  Mum and I packed it in at about the same time as the table full of nuns.
