Ah, hello Friday. You took your time showing up this week. I'm afraid we've had crazy weather this week going sunny and humid to pouring rain in a matter of minutes. It has absolutely wrecked my head. I think my body might be 50% painkillers at this point.
So this is a pretty good time to look at some happy things from this week. First of all is that Mum and Baby Brother seem to have arrived safe and sound in Indonesia after flights from Halifax to London, London to Bangkok, Bangkok to Bali and then some little plane to some place I didn't learn the name of to catch their liveaboard boat for their week of scuba diving. Don't you wish they blogged instead of me?
On an exciting to me (but not anywhere near the level of scuba diving in Komodo National Park) note, we got some new evergreen trees to work on filling in the view from our house to the neighbours. I'm very excited about our three lovely new hemlock (that are like 15 feet tall!!) and two blue spruce. They were a gift... we can't afford trees. Did you know trees are crazy expensive? I so love trees though.
I also received a couple of adorable pieces from Paige at Artsy Anthropology. There's a case for my Blackberry Playbook and an adorable little pouch that I plan to keep in my purse with all of my lipglosses and things like that in it.
Husband's had a little more time lately in spite still being a full time student. So we've been watching the latest season of Grand Designs from the UK. We used to watch reruns of it and such all the time in the UK while having supper so it's nice to return to the tradition. We love the host Kevin McLeod. Actually all my favourite tv hosts are British (hello Cat Deeley... be my bestfriend?).
On a cute but odd note Princess Trilly seems to have decided she is in love with my new TOMS. Every time I catch her she runs away from them so I can't get a picture but if you look closely you can see that they're covered in a layer of cat hair. She lays next to one and practically sticks her head in it and cuddles it. Then she rubs her ears against it. I feel like I ought to put one in her bed for her like Spock has his teddy bear (shhhh... don't tell him I told you). The pets have been pretty darn cute this week if a bit of a pain on the pottying front... but that's another story.
Happy Long Weekend to my Canadian friends! Happy regular weekend (which is still a good thing) to the rest of you.
