29 Paw Prints

Our pets are rather well provided for. In other words, they're spoiled.  We have cat beds and dog beds and toys everywhere.  Spock's favourite toys are still pens and plastic bags (Such a good fur parent letting him play in plastic bags... I figure he has claws. He can get out if he's stuck).  Trilly still insists on sleeping on a glove that Husband's left on the counter rather than all of the comfy beds.

Then I won a competition on Much Love Illy's blog earlier this month to spend $40 on pet goodies from Honey Pot Pet Studios and I was excited to get them more things! However, I decided that meant I would go through their current things and see what they didn't use that could be donated to the Animal Rescue League for the shelter animals.

Thanks to the arrival of Miss Sadie's new No-Spill bowl (see below) we have two dog dishes that we don't use plus at least 9 cat toys that we tend to not give them because they're hazardous to Sadie (the hard plastic kind she will crunch through and wind up eating pieces of).  So thats 2 (dog bowls)- 9(cat toys) plus a couple of toys that Sadie never took to or has become totally bored with.  I figure that's the pets' 29 Leaps taken care of!

Now on to the excitement of their new goodies! As you can imagine the introduction of a box to their space gained much attention.  I'm fairly certain Spock still thinks the box WAS the present.

The Honey Pot girls were so sweet while I was ordering and then they sent us cute little notes as well.  On top of that, there was a delay in shipping and they sent an EXTRA toy! On an order that they'd already given to me as a prize!

Not a bad haul at all!!
The kitties got a couple of toys (plus the box).  The yellow feathery, fluffy thing is pretty crazy.  Spock was covered in yellow feathers after about 30 seconds.  Trilly was a little gentler than Spock! I've put the yellow wriggler away in a drawer for now. Waiting til we can film the play as I figure Spock will have a blast and destroy it.  The plush toy has not yet been fully explored though it took Spock about 10 seconds to figure out that the rock is velcro-ed and so removable.

Sadie benefited most from the Honey Pot win.  Some of the things have been put away until later.  The extension leash is to try out some swimming this summer.  The green rabbit (that has a fluffy tail and squeaks) has been put in her toy drawer for now so that she has new excitement when she tires of her Tuff Tuff bone.  She spent the whole evening wandering around with it wagging her tail. It took her 24 hours to figure out that it squeaked (I'd have been ok with her not figuring that out!).

Everyone at our house would like to say a big thank you to Much Love Illy and the Honey Pot Pet Studio for all of our lovely new things.
